The fidget-specific test points
- Silicone and plastic bodies: lead and phthalates content per material and color.
- Bubble sheets (pop-its): durability so bubbles cannot tear into small detachable pieces for young children.
- Spinners: bearing integrity and edge smoothness after drop testing; weighted spinners are projectiles if thrown.
- Sensory strips and chewables: mouthed-product scrutiny means material chemistry matters more than usual.
Marketplace reality for fidgets
Fidget listings multiply fast and get swept in category compliance checks. Sellers with a current CPC, a test report on file, and honest age grading survive the sweeps; the ones without documents lose listings in bulk. The generator and vault exist to make that preparation take minutes per product.
Questions people ask
Do fidget toys need small parts testing?
If the fidget is marketed to children under 3 or has detachable parts, yes: parts that fit the small parts cylinder are a choking hazard by definition.
Are silicone pop-its phthalates-tested?
Silicone is generally not a phthalates carrier, but labs verify the material rather than assume, and pigments get lead-tested. Follow your lab’s scope.
Do adult-stress fidgets need a CPC?
Only products marketed to children 12 and under are children’s products. A stress toy genuinely marketed to office adults is a general product; keep the marketing consistent.
