Why most CPC templates cause trouble

The classic Word-template workflow fails in predictable ways. Templates go stale as rules get updated (the toy standard alone has been revised several times). Sellers fill them in with incomplete rule lists that do not match the test report. Finished certificates disappear into email threads, so when Amazon asks for the CPC three years later nobody can find it or the test report behind it.

A generator solves this differently: structured fields mean nothing required is missing, citations come from a maintained dataset, and every certificate is stored with its test date so retesting is visible.

What your template must contain

Product identification: name, model or SKU, and a description that matches your listing and test report.
Each consumer product safety rule the product is certified to meet, cited precisely (for example: 16 CFR Part 1252 (ASTM F963-23) for toys).
The certifying party: the importer for imported products, the domestic manufacturer for US-made products.

Can I edit the PDF afterward?
