Fix certificate eFiling rejection
Common rejection causes
- Certifier name/EIN does not match the importer on the CPC.
- Report number or test date typo versus the PDF.
- Missing or incorrect product ID (model, SKU, GTIN) for the filed configuration.
- Rule citations the lab is not CPSC-accepted to test.
Workflow after correction
Update the CPC if the PDF was wrong — do not only fix portal fields. Store a versioned copy and notify your broker so entry transmission matches the accepted filing.
Questions people ask
Is eFiling the same as uploading to Amazon?
No. Amazon marketplace compliance and CPSC import certificate filing are separate channels with overlapping document content.
Can ShadowOps file for me?
ShadowOps helps generate accurate CPC PDFs and organize data for filing; your broker or compliance lead still submits through CPSC systems with your credentials.
