CBP and CPSC coordination increasingly expects importers of children’s products to present valid compliance documentation at entry — lab reports, Children’s Product Certificates, and (where required) successful certificate eFiling data. A hold for missing CPC is not solved by a factory declaration; you need the certifying party’s CPC matching CPSC-accepted test results for the shipped goods.

Issue or retrieve the CPC with matching importer name and rule citations.

Prevent the next hold

Treat CPC + report as part of the shipping packet: same lot numbers, same factory, same materials as tested. From 2026 onward, importers should also validate eFiling identifiers before cargo departs when certificate filing is in scope.

Sometimes brokers can clear with pending docs, but delays and storage fees stack up. Pre-arrival compliance is cheaper than port holds.

Does Amazon CPC satisfy customs?
