Matching CPC to lab report lines

Amazon reviewers and CPSC inspectors compare CPC fields to the underlying report. Rule citations must mirror exact CFR references and ASTM editions on the report; product names and model numbers must match; dates of test and manufacture must be logically consistent; certifying party must be the importer, not the lab or factory.

Field pairs to audit

  • Product description ↔ report product ID block.
  • Each CPC rule line ↔ report conclusion page clauses.
  • CPSC accepted lab name ↔ report header accreditation.
  • Importer name ↔ Seller Central entity / invoice IOR.
  • Manufacture date range ↔ production window on report.

Common reject fixes

Regenerate the CPC from report text instead of typing from memory. Paste rule strings; do not abbreviate “F963” without the Part 1252 citation if that is what the report shows.

Questions people ask

Can I cite a rule not on the report?

No — that is a false certificate. Extend testing or remove the line.

Does Chinese report translation matter?

Upload English reports or bilingual versions labs provide. Amazon wants readable rule clauses.
