How to upload a CPC to Amazon
Step by step
- Find the request: Account Health or Manage Your Compliance lists the ASIN and deadline.
- Prepare the pair: the CPC PDF and the full test report (not an extract), matching the ASIN’s product, model, and age grade.
- Upload with correct file naming: brand-model-document-type. Keep every confirmation number.
Why documents get rejected
The usual reasons: the certificate’s product name does not match the listing, the report is missing clauses for a cited rule, the laboratory is not CPSC-accepted for the rule, or images are too low-quality to read. Fixing those four before uploading gets most sellers through on the first pass.
Questions people ask
How long does Amazon review take?
Typically a few business days, longer in enforcement waves before Q4. Track the ASIN status rather than re-uploading duplicates — duplicates can reset the review.
Can I upload a supplier’s CPC?
Only if it names you as importer or manufacturer. Otherwise issue your own from the supplier’s test data — the certificate must be in the certifying party’s name.
