Amazon.de toy compliance for sellers
Amazon.de expects children’s toys to meet EU toy safety expectations — EN 71 testing, CE marking, and an EU Declaration of Conformity — and frequently routes ASINs into TIC Direct Validation. German market surveillance culture is strict; incomplete technical files and mismatched reports fail fast.
What to keep in the DE listing file
- EN 71 Parts applicable to the toy type (commonly 1–3; electric toys add EN IEC 62115)
- EU Declaration of Conformity with manufacturer and authorised representative details as required
- CE mark evidence on product or packaging
- German/EU consumer information and warnings as required for the SKU
Direct Validation on .de
When Account Health shows Verify your product, select an approved TIC, generate the TRF, and let the TIC validate existing EN 71 reports or schedule testing. Do not upload a U.S. CPC into a German toy case.
