First Amazon kids SKU checklist
Your first children’s ASIN on Amazon USA needs more than a pretty listing: confirm it is a children’s product, test at a CPSC-accepted lab, issue a CPC, apply tracking labels, and keep report + certificate ready for compliance asks or Direct Validation.
Do this before Publish
- Confirm children’s product classification (12 and under).
- Hold a matching lab report for the configuration you will ship.
- Issue CPC citing the same rules as the report.
- Photograph tracking labels on product and packaging.
- Store PDFs where your ops person can find them in minutes.
Questions people ask
Is a factory “CPSIA certificate” enough?
No. You need a proper test report from an accepted lab and a CPC issued by the importer of record.
What if Amazon asks later?
Upload the same pair (report + CPC). Delays usually mean documents were never organized.
