Tracking label missing — Amazon kids listings

CPSIA Section 103 requires a permanent tracking label on children’s products and packaging with manufacturer/importer identity, location, date of production, and cohort information (batch, run, etc.). Amazon compliance messages often ask for photos or packaging proofs when labels are absent, illegible, or only on a sticker that falls off in FBA prep.

What a defensible label includes

  • Domestic manufacturer or importer name and contact.
  • Production date (month/year minimum).
  • Cohort traceability (batch, PO, or factory line code).
  • Placement durable enough for normal use — not removable gift stickers alone.

Send label artwork in the PO pack with exact text Amazon expects. If your prep center re-packages into poly bags, ensure the required information remains visible or embossed on the product itself.
